Spencer Pratt faced backlash for showing off something in a photo while America was dealing with devastating wildfires.

Spencer Pratt, the former reality star best known for his role on *The Hills*,

shared an emotional moment with his followers on TikTok, expressing both pride and gratitude for his wife, Heidi Montag.

In a heartfelt video, Pratt reflected on the unexpected success of Montag’s 2010 album *Superficial*,

which has skyrocketed to No. 1 on iTunes amid the couple’s personal challenges.

This triumph comes at a particularly difficult time for the couple, who recently lost their home in the devastating Los Angeles wildfires.

The destruction, which has left thousands of residents without homes, has been an overwhelming setback for the Pratts.

Yet, in the face of adversity, Montag’s music has provided a glimmer of hope and unexpected financial relief.

In the TikTok video, Pratt, visibly emotional, expressed his deep appreciation for Montag’s perseverance and artistry. He revealed that the success of *Superficial* has been a lifeline for them, as they battle the aftermath of the wildfires. “Every dollar we made from *The Hills* was invested in this album,” Pratt shared, holding back tears. He reflected on the sacrifices they made to hire top-tier writers and producers for the project, which initially sold only 1,000 copies in its first week. At the time, their decision to pour so much money into the album was met with regret. However, with the album now at the top of the iTunes charts and its title track outperforming major artists like ROSÉ and Bruno Mars, the couple has found solace in the unexpected success of the project.

The resurgence of *Superficial* has been nothing short of a miracle for the Pratts. As the album climbed to the top of the charts on January 12, Montag’s music began to gain significant attention. High-profile figures like Paris Hilton and Emily Ratajkowski have shown their support, urging their followers to download and stream the album. The couple’s emotional appeal for help resonated with fans, who rallied behind them during this trying time.

Montag’s 2010 album, which was largely overlooked during its initial release, has now become a symbol of resilience. The title track, which initially went unnoticed, has now become a chart-topping hit. The unexpected attention has provided the Pratts with much-needed relief during a time when they are facing profound losses due to the fires.

The Los Angeles wildfires have left a devastating mark on the community, with more than 150,000 residents displaced and hundreds of homes destroyed. The wildfires, which have been burning for over six days, continue to threaten neighborhoods, with strong winds exacerbating the already catastrophic situation. One of the casualties of the fires was the Altadena Community Church, which was destroyed in the blaze.

As the fires rage on, federal aid has been made available to help those affected by the disaster. President Joe Biden declared a major disaster in the area, and the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has allocated funds for temporary housing, uninsured property losses, and other recovery services. However, families are urged to contact their insurance companies first to determine their eligibility for additional support.

So far, more than 24,000 applications for federal assistance have been submitted, and officials expect this number to rise as more residents seek help. FEMA Administrator Deanne Criswell emphasized the importance of building resilience for future disasters, urging residents to work closely with their insurance providers and take advantage of available programs to rebuild their homes and lives.

Despite the overwhelming challenges posed by the wildfires, the Pratts’ story is one of hope and perseverance. Spencer Pratt’s emotional message to fans serves as a reminder of the power of music to heal, connect, and provide a sense of normalcy in the face of unimaginable loss. As the couple navigates this difficult period, they remain grateful for the support they’ve received and the unexpected success of *Superficial*, which is helping them rebuild their lives after the devastation of the wildfires.

With the ongoing efforts to battle the fires and the federal aid now available, the Pratts’ resilience and the support from their fans serve as a testament to the strength of community in times of crisis. The couple’s journey through this challenging period is a powerful reminder that even in the darkest times, there can be moments of light.
