Sheinelle Jones is beaming with pride as she celebrates a major milestone in her son’s life. 

The “Today” show co-host recently took to Instagram to mark her eldest son Kayin’s 15th birthday, sharing a heartfelt tribute accompanied by a series of nostalgic photos.

In the touching post, Sheinelle reflected on the moment she first became a mother, posting a rare throwback picture of herself cradling newborn Kayin. 

The candid image captured a deeply personal moment, as she gazed at her baby with love and devotion.

The photo tribute also included a selfie of the duo, showcasing their striking resemblance as they smiled warmly for the camera. 

Another snapshot featured the mother and son embracing by the beach, highlighting their close bond. 

The final images in the series documented Kayin’s journey from childhood to adolescence, including a proud moment from his recent graduation as he prepares to begin high school.

“15 years ago today … my heart expanded with so much love – I can’t even describe it,” Sheinelle wrote in the caption. She accompanied the post with Celine Dion’s version of “Beautiful Boy,” a song she used to play for him as a baby. “I love you, Kayin!!! I used to play this song when you were a baby … now you’re heading to high school! Goodness, time is flying … HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!”

This birthday tribute comes just months after Sheinelle celebrated another major milestone in her son’s life—his graduation from eighth grade. In June, she posted a heartfelt message marking the occasion, reminiscing about his first day of preschool. “I remember your first day of pre-K like it was yesterday!” she wrote. “You were this giant light ready to soak up everything they could teach you.”

Sheinelle expressed her admiration for Kayin’s love of learning, his compassion for people, and his passion for making the most of every experience, from academics to sports to music. One of the photos she shared showed Kayin standing at a podium during the ceremony, hinting that he had played a significant role in the event. “When you stepped up to the podium with that smile, my heart was filled with so much gratitude for the young man that you are, and the man you are becoming,” she wrote.

The television personality shares Kayin, along with twins Clara and Uche, with her husband, Uche Ojeh. Although she generally keeps her children out of the public eye, Sheinelle has previously spoken about the joys and challenges of raising three kids. In a 2017 interview with People, she candidly described parenting young children as “chaotic.”

“And I would be lying to you if I said that it wasn’t,” she admitted. “One four-year-old alone can be a tornado, so I have two of them. And then they have a big brother who is seven.”

Despite the inevitable chaos of raising three kids, Sheinelle has always embraced the journey with love and gratitude. As she watches Kayin grow into a young man, her birthday tribute is a reminder of just how precious time is. With high school on the horizon, it’s clear that Kayin’s future is bright—and his mom couldn’t be prouder.
