Kelly Ripa left her husband Mark furious when she openly called him a CONTROLLING MAN during a live segment: “That attitude destroyed everything between us…”

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos continue to prove why they are one of Hollywood’s most enduring and entertaining couples.

With nearly three decades of marriage under their belt, the LIVE with Kelly and Mark co-hosts aren’t afraid to share their perspectives on relationships

especially when it comes to modern dating trends.

During a recent episode of their daytime talk show, the couple tackled the topic of location sharing between partners, sparking a hilarious

and candid discussion about trust, privacy, and their own experiences.

Kelly and Mark’s Take on Location Sharing

The conversation stemmed from a recent study that found that for some people, not sharing their location after a few dates is considered a “deal breaker.” While some couples feel more secure knowing where their significant other is at all times, others see it as an unnecessary invasion of privacy.

Kelly, 54, appeared baffled by the idea, while Mark, 53, admitted that they don’t share their locations with each other. “The last thing I want to know is where you are at all times,” Kelly joked. “I don’t need to know that!”

Mark, equally unconvinced by the necessity of constant location tracking, quipped, “I’m upstairs. If you’re looking for me, I’m upstairs in my den.”

Do Couples Really Need to Share Locations?

As the discussion continued, Kelly and Mark turned to their producer, Michael Gelman, to weigh in. To their surprise, Gelman revealed that he and his family do share their locations with each other. His reasoning? It helps them stay aware of each other’s whereabouts in case someone is late or unreachable.

Mark then referenced the study’s conclusion: 21% of people consider it a “deal breaker” if their partner refuses to share their location. This statistic only reinforced Kelly’s stance. “To me, it’s a deal breaker if you need to know where I am,” she said. “I’m where I told you I am. And you don’t need to know anything else other than that.”

A Hilarious Throwback to Kelly’s Hiking Mishap

The lighthearted conversation took an even funnier turn when Kelly recalled a time she actually did need Mark to track her location. While hiking in Colorado, she ignored his advice and set off on her own—only to end up lost.

“I said, ‘I know where I am.’ And of course, I got lost,” Kelly admitted. Mark, sitting beside her, remembered warning her against it. “Don’t do it,” he had told her.

When she realized she was lost, she had to figure out how to share her location with Mark, a task that left her momentarily panicked. “I became my own grandmother,” she joked, referencing the struggle of older generations with technology.

Mark ended up walking her through the process, but it was a frustrating experience for both of them. “We may or may not still be talking to this day, and that was five or six years ago,” she teased.

A Marriage Built on Humor and Trust

Kelly and Mark’s playful banter on LIVE is one of the many reasons fans love watching them. Their willingness to openly discuss relationship topics, while maintaining a sense of humor, makes their dynamic both relatable and entertaining.

The couple first met on the set of All My Children in 1995 and quickly developed a deep connection. After dating for about a year, they eloped in 1996. Now, 28 years later, they are not only still happily married but also co-hosting one of the most popular daytime talk shows on television.

They also share three children—Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21—who have all followed their parents into creative fields. Despite their busy schedules, Kelly and Mark continue to prioritize their marriage and family life while bringing their authentic selves to the LIVE audience.

Final Thoughts: To Share or Not to Share?

While location sharing is a personal choice for every couple, Kelly and Mark’s take on the topic showcased their strong foundation of trust. For them, knowing each other’s general whereabouts is enough—no need for constant tracking.

As their marriage continues to thrive, their daily conversations on LIVE offer fans a glimpse into their fun, loving, and sometimes hilarious dynamic. Whether it’s discussing relationship quirks or recalling past mishaps, Kelly and Mark prove time and again that laughter truly is the secret to a lasting marriage.
