Just two months after departing from TODAY, Hoda Kotb has surprisingly unveiled a new venture, vowing to uncover the wrongdoings of NBC executives!

Two months after bidding farewell to Today, Hoda Kotb has unveiled an exciting new project

that reflects on her journey and encourages others to embrace change.

The beloved television personality is set to release her latest book, Jump and Find Joy, later this year,

offering readers an uplifting perspective on taking bold leaps in life.

A Journey of Courage and Change

During the Pop Start segment on Today on March 10, Carson Daly announced that Kotb’s new book will hit shelves on September 23 and is already available for preorder.

The book’s title speaks to a theme that has deeply resonated with Kotb throughout her life—taking risks and embracing new opportunities.

In a video message, Kotb elaborated on the inspiration behind her book, explaining that many people face moments of uncertainty when they stand on the edge of something new. “Everybody in their life, at one point, stands on the edge of something and says, ‘Should I jump? Should I try? Should I go for it?’” she reflected. “And I felt that way about the Today show, and I was terrified to even think about jumping.”

The decision to step away from her longtime role at Today was not an easy one, but Kotb credited her friend Maria Shriver for helping her come to terms with it. According to Kotb, Shriver reminded her that taking leaps had always been a part of her journey. “She was like, ‘You’ve jumped your whole life. You were in small markets in television [and] you jumped from city to city. You jumped into relationships and out of them. You jumped into motherhood. You have a history of jumping, so don’t tell me that you can’t jump,’” Kotb recalled.

Highlighting Stories of Resilience

Kotb’s book goes beyond her own experiences, as she draws inspiration from individuals she admires who have overcome fears and embraced life-changing opportunities. Among them is Academy Award-winning actress Viola Davis, whose transformative journey is highlighted in the book. “This woman went from on her knees to this incredible spot, and it was an image that caused her to jump,” Kotb shared.

Another story featured in Jump and Find Joy is that of Sarah Jakes, the daughter of renowned pastor T.D. Jakes. Kotb recounted how Jakes spoke about the importance of envisioning success before taking a leap of faith. “She said, ‘When you jump, you have to imagine yourself on the other side,’” Kotb noted.

The overarching message of the book is clear—life is about embracing change and taking risks, no matter how daunting they may seem. As Kotb put it, “Here’s my thing, you get one life. That’s all. That’s it. It’s ready for the taking. It only takes a jump.”

What’s Next for Hoda Kotb?

Jump and Find Joy is Kotb’s first major project since leaving Today on January 10, where she had cohosted alongside Savannah Guthrie and Jenna Bush Hager. However, this book is just the beginning of a new chapter in her career.

Back in January, Kotb revealed during an appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show that she is working on another venture—a wellness-focused company and app designed to help people achieve personal growth. She explained that the project would include retreats, a podcast, and various programs aimed at transformation and self-improvement.

“[It] will involve retreats and a podcast and all kinds of things that we can get together, do things that I love,” Kotb told Clarkson. “It’s not like going to Mexico with your girls, which is fun, but this is something that when you leave, you’ll go like, ‘Oh my gosh, I feel transformed. I feel different.’”

At the time, she mentioned that the company was still in the early stages of development, with plans to launch the app this spring.

Embracing the Next Chapter

Hoda Kotb’s departure from Today marked the end of an era, but it has also given her the space to explore new opportunities that align with her passions. With Jump and Find Joy, she hopes to inspire others to embrace change, take risks, and believe in their own ability to overcome fear.

As she embarks on this new journey, Kotb is proving that life’s most rewarding moments often come from stepping outside of our comfort zones. Whether through her book, wellness brand, or future endeavors, she continues to share her wisdom and encouragement with fans worldwide.
