Heather El Moussa has spoken out in support of her HGTV co-star Christina Haack’s new relationship,

while also reflecting on the emotional toll of Haack’s highly publicized split from her former spouse, Josh Hall.
Heather, 37, who first gained fame on Netflix’s “Selling Sunset,” recently sat down with Realtor.com® to discuss her experience filming The Flip Off alongside Haack and Hall.
She revealed that tensions were apparent from the beginning,

and she and her husband, Tarek El Moussa, 43, had sensed that trouble was brewing in Haack and Hall’s marriage before their official split in July 2024.

“We kind of knew something was coming, but we didn’t know how soon,” Heather shared. “We knew there had been struggles, but we didn’t know when things would unfold publicly.”

Initially, The Flip Off was designed as a friendly renovation competition between the El Moussas and the Halls. However, following Haack and Hall’s separation, Josh was removed from the show, leaving Haack to compete solo. Heather noted that the dynamic on set changed drastically after his departure, making for a more enjoyable filming experience.
“You could feel the tension between them on camera,” Heather admitted. “Once Josh was gone, Christina seemed lighter and happier, and the atmosphere on set became much more positive.”
A Fresh Start with Christopher Larocca
Haack has since moved on with businessman Christopher Larocca, and Heather has had the chance to spend time with the new couple. She revealed that she and Tarek have gone on multiple double dates with Haack and Larocca, enjoying dinners and social gatherings together.
“So far, I like him,” Heather said. “We’ve had drinks, dinner, and he’s even come to some events for the kids. Christina seems happy, and that’s what matters.”

Haack first confirmed her relationship with Larocca in February 2025, sharing a series of romantic photos from a private trip they took together. One standout image showed Haack sitting on Larocca’s lap inside a private jet, both smiling and toasting with champagne.
Rumors about their romance had been swirling since January, with reports suggesting that they had been quietly dating for months while Haack finalized her divorce from Hall.
Prioritizing Family and Happiness
A key factor in Haack’s decision to end her marriage to Hall was the well-being of her three children: Taylor, 14, Brayden, 9, and Hudson, 5. She previously shared that her kids had voiced concerns about Hall, which ultimately influenced her choice to walk away from the marriage.
Since moving on with Larocca, Haack has been vocal about how much happier her home life has become. During an episode of Christina on the Coast, she reflected on the positive changes, saying, “The house is so much better, the kids are happy, and we’re all just thriving. The negative energy is gone.”

Larocca, 52, who is the CEO of Network Connex, also has a 17-year-old daughter from a previous marriage. While it remains unclear how much time Haack has spent with Larocca’s daughter, their blended family dynamic appears to be progressing smoothly.
From Co-Parents to Close Friends
Heather and Haack’s relationship has evolved significantly over the years. As the wife of Haack’s ex-husband, Tarek, Heather initially approached their relationship with caution, wanting to ensure a healthy co-parenting environment. However, working together on The Flip Off strengthened their bond, and they have since developed a genuine friendship.
“We got to know each other on a deeper level through filming,” Heather said. “Of course, there were reservations at first—especially when Josh was involved. We wondered if it would create drama or tension, but Christina and I have built a really solid relationship.”
Heather recalled that after their first day filming together, she and Haack exchanged texts about how much fun they had. “She texted me saying, ‘That was so fun, you’re great to film with,’ and I felt the same way,” Heather said. “Every time we filmed together, it just got better and better.”

New Ventures and What’s Next
Since leaving Selling Sunset, Heather has focused on working alongside Tarek, as well as expanding her career into the beauty industry. She recently launched her own brand, Heather Rae Essentials, which debuted with a line of non-toxic lip gloss. New products are set to be released in April, though she remains tight-lipped about what’s coming next.
As for The Flip Off, the first season has generated a significant buzz, with fans already eager for news about a second season. Heather is thrilled by the excitement, stating, “I love hearing what the fans think and what they’d want for Season 2.”
With new beginnings for both Heather and Haack, it’s clear that these two women are not only thriving in their careers but also in their personal lives. Heather’s endorsement of Haack’s new relationship is just another sign that everyone involved is moving forward in a positive direction.
