Craig Conover “wiped his tears” as he revealed losing his identity during his relationship with Paige DeSorbo, leaving everyone stunned: I was afraid to face myself…

After a surprising breakup with Paige DeSorbo just three months ago, Southern Charm star Craig Conover is gaining clarity on his past relationship.

During an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show earlier this week,

Conover opened up about his emotional journey, reflecting on his three-year romance with the Summer House star.

The 36-year-old reality TV personality offered a candid look at his perspective post-breakup and acknowledged the lessons he’s learned through the process.

Conover revealed that, in hindsight, he realized he was at risk of losing himself while in the relationship.

“I would’ve ended up losing myself [in that relationship] because I would’ve given up everything to stay with her,” he admitted.

For Conover, the breakup has been a painful but necessary growth experience. He continued, “So the blessing is, as we’re a couple months out, I see that now. That’s why your mood changes throughout [a breakup]; you have to go through those grieving processes. It’s perspective.”

In the aftermath of their split, Conover is embracing a fresh outlook on life and love. In a separate conversation with DailyMail.com, he expressed his readiness to move forward and find love again. When asked about his current relationship status on Valentine’s Day, Conover said, “I think I’m always ready to find love. I’m a big fan of, like, sharing your life with someone and, right now, I’m just excited to find someone to travel with.” He added that, while he’s eager to find a new partner, he’s not rushing into anything. “I like sharing my life with people, so whether it’s love from friends or my parents, I’ve always got love to give, and of course, one day I will be ready to receive it,” he shared.

As for his past relationship with DeSorbo, Conover is open to the idea of being in another long-distance romance in the future. He noted that the dynamics of a long-distance relationship can be rewarding if there’s mutual effort and compromise. “I really enjoyed long distance. And I think living in two different places was so exciting, and getting to share those places with each other,” he said. “I just feel like I’m drawn to that, especially because there’s a lot of really incredible people in Charleston, but I have a lot of history there too, a lot of past chapters. So I’m a fan of long distance relationships, and I think it just comes down to effort and compromise. And just put the effort in, and if you do, it’ll all work out okay.”

One key aspect of future relationships that Conover values is open and healthy communication. He emphasized that, moving forward, he wants to ensure that any future partner shares a commitment to clear and honest communication. “I hope there will be healthy communication with my future partner because I don’t want to feel stress or insecure about communicating,” he said.

Despite the ongoing public interest in his breakup with DeSorbo, Conover has remained relatively tight-lipped about the specifics of their split. During a recent appearance on Watch What Happens Live, he was asked about DeSorbo’s statement claiming she had “never cheated physically or emotionally.” Conover, however, chose not to delve into the details. “I don’t want to be involved,” he said, clearly expressing his desire to move on from the drama. He added, “I got broken up with. I’m the ex-boyfriend, moving on with my life,” and he firmly stated, “I’m not going to get sucked into the mud with them.”

While the breakup with DeSorbo was undoubtedly a difficult chapter in Conover’s life, he is focused on moving forward. As he navigates life after the relationship, the Sewing Down South entrepreneur is embracing new opportunities and staying positive about what lies ahead. “I’ve gotten a lot of love over the last few years,” he shared, “but it just changed, and now it’s on to the next chapter.”

Though the details of his relationship with Paige DeSorbo remain a topic of discussion among fans, Craig Conover is determined to keep his eyes on the future. With a renewed perspective on love and relationships, he is ready to embark on the next chapter of his life—one that is filled with self-discovery, new experiences, and, eventually, a love that fits his journey.
