Blake Lively’s rep confirms she has SQUASHED HER FEUD with Taylor Swift and reveals when Taylor will testify in Justin Baldoni’s case: “She’s the key witness…”

Taylor Swift’s Connection to Blake Lively’s It Ends With Us and Justin Baldoni’s Controversial Legal Battle

Taylor Swift’s unexpected link to It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni,

has resurfaced, shedding light on her influence over the film’s casting and her indirect involvement in its behind-the-scenes drama.

Recent interviews suggest Swift played a role in selecting Isabela Ferrer for the role of young Lily Bloom, Lively’s character in the adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel.

Swift’s Role in Casting Isabela Ferrer

During a resurfaced interview with Access Hollywood, Baldoni revealed that both Lively and Swift were involved in the decision to cast Ferrer,

emphasizing how much she resembled Lively while also praising her talent.

“I was casting, and I had actually brought in and showed her casting tape to Blake and Taylor, and they were both like, ‘Yes! Her,’” Baldoni shared.

Ferrer herself confirmed Swift’s involvement during a red-carpet interview at the film’s premiere, admitting she was surprised to learn about the pop star’s role in the process.

“I don’t even know if I’m supposed to be saying it, but I’m saying it,” Ferrer said in an interview with Extra. “Yeah, she was a helpful part of the process of the audition, which I found out later after I got it, and that rocked my world. I have no words.”

It Ends With Us Legal Battle: Baldoni vs. Lively

Swift’s connection to the film doesn’t end with casting. The ongoing legal feud between Lively and Baldoni has further entangled her in the controversy.

Lively filed a lawsuit against Baldoni, alleging sexual harassment, while Baldoni responded with a countersuit, accusing Lively and her husband, Ryan Reynolds, of civil extortion and defamation.

Court documents and messages shared on Baldoni’s website claim that Lively attempted to exert control over the film’s editing and marketing. Allegedly, she refused to approve the film’s trailer unless she was granted additional editing time.

A major point of contention? A potential threat regarding the use of Swift’s song, My Tears Ricochet, in the film’s promotional material.

According to messages between Baldoni’s producer, a Sony Films executive, and a Sony marketing executive—who had allegedly spoken with Lively—she hinted that her willingness to reach out to Swift for the song’s approval depended on her demands being met.

“While Lively is holding the Film hostage in the edit room, she is simultaneously stalling the Film’s marketing by refusing to approve key materials, including the trailer release,” the document claims.

Ultimately, My Tears Ricochet was used in both the trailer and a pivotal scene in the film.

Could Taylor Swift Be Forced to Testify?

With the trial set for 2026, legal experts speculate whether Swift could be called to testify, given her connection to the film.

Ethan Krasnoo, a legal expert from Reavis Page Jump LLP, told Fox News Digital that while Swift could be subpoenaed, she has a strong case to fight it.

“Taylor Swift could seek to quash the subpoena, arguing that it is a fishing expedition or intended to cause harm to Lively in damaging her friendship with Swift rather than to obtain relevant or necessary information,” Krasnoo explained.

Since Lively is already a central figure in the lawsuit, and likely holds the same information that Swift would provide, the chances of Swift being required to testify remain low.

Baldoni Alleges Swift and Reynolds Pressured Him

Baldoni’s lawsuit further alleges that Lively used her high-profile friendships to influence creative decisions on set.

The actor and director claimed that Lively insisted on rewriting a rooftop scene, despite his initial hesitation. After presenting her revisions, she allegedly invited Baldoni to her New York City home, where Swift and Reynolds were present.

Baldoni later texted Lively, seemingly implying that Swift and Reynolds had pressured him into accepting her rewrite.

“I really love what you did. It really does help a lot. Makes it so much more fun and interesting. (And I would have felt that way without Ryan and Taylor [emoji]),” he reportedly wrote.

Lively’s response, included in Baldoni’s legal filing, described Swift and Reynolds as “dragons” who fiercely protect her.

“Both Ryan and [redacted] have established themselves as absolute titans as writers and storytellers outside of their primary gig—just singing or just acting or [redacted] just directing,” Lively wrote.

She continued, “I’m so lucky to have them as creative barometers. But also to have them as people who prop me up and make sure I’m seen for all I can do and offer. Because they know firsthand all I contribute. They also know I’m not always as good at making sure I’m seen and utilized for fear of threatening egos or fear of affecting the ease of the process. They don’t give a s— about that. And because of that, everyone listens to them with immense respect and enthusiasm.”

What’s Next?

As the legal drama unfolds, Swift’s name continues to be brought up in the battle between Lively and Baldoni. However, unless new evidence emerges proving her direct involvement in the conflict, the superstar may be able to avoid testifying.

For now, Swift’s influence on It Ends With Us remains tied to her role in casting and her music’s inclusion in the film—but with the court case ongoing, more revelations could still come to light.
