Al Roker from TODAY left his co-hosts in shock when he suddenly declared that he hated the songs they performed on the show.

Al Roker is no stranger to sharing his candid opinions on *The Today Show*, and his latest unscripted reaction had everyone in stitches.

Ahead of Valentine’s Day, the NBC morning show decided to share a segment on January 29 about romantic playlist recommendations.

Naturally, Al, ever the good sport, was part of the fun discussion, seated alongside his co-hosts Jenna Bush Hager, Savannah Guthrie, Craig Melvin, and Carson Daly.

However, things took a hilarious turn when the conversation shifted to the classic country duet “Islands in the Stream” by Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers.

As Carson Daly mentioned the iconic song, it was clear that Jenna and Savannah couldn’t resist the opportunity to break into an impromptu duet.

Without hesitation, the two women started singing the timeless track, laughing and having a blast as they harmonized.

Al, who was sitting directly between them, found himself right in the middle of the musical moment. To make things even more amusing, Jenna and Savannah didn’t stop at singing—they threw in a playful hug for Al while serenading him on live television.

What happened next was pure Al Roker gold. Caught off-guard and obviously not expecting to be the center of this spontaneous performance, Al couldn’t help but express his feelings with a comedic, over-the-top reaction. “Please, please!” he jokingly screamed, his voice full of mock distress. “Make it stop! MAKE IT STOP!” His dramatic plea instantly had the studio audience laughing, and it didn’t take long for the clip to make its way to social media, where fans were quick to share their amusement.

The reactions in the comments section were a testament to just how much viewers enjoy seeing Al’s unfiltered, no-holds-barred moments on air. One follower joked, “Uncle Al is over everyone 😂,” while another exclaimed, “CANNOT get enough of this crew 🔥.” Other fans expressed how much the moment made them laugh, with one comment reading, “That made me laugh ♥️😂.” Al’s candid reaction and the playful dynamics between him and his co-hosts made this impromptu karaoke moment a highlight of the show.

While this hilarious outburst is certainly one of Al’s more memorable moments, it’s far from the first time he’s let his true feelings fly on air. Fans of *The Today Show* will remember Al’s passionate commentary from February 2024, when he made an emotional plea for New York City schools to cancel remote learning during heavy snowstorms. He argued that students deserved a proper snow day, an opinion that resonated with many viewers.

Additionally, back in July 2023, Al shared his strong feelings on another topic—showering. Al made headlines when he advocated for people to shower multiple times a week, urging others to prioritize personal hygiene. It’s these moments where Al’s outspoken personality shines through, making him a beloved figure on the show. Whether he’s discussing serious matters or reacting to unexpected karaoke performances, Al’s authenticity and humor keep fans coming back for more.

Ultimately, this Valentine’s Day segment was just another example of how Al Roker is always ready to bring his genuine reactions and humor to the *Today Show*. While his co-hosts love to surprise him, the moments that result from those surprises are often some of the funniest and most memorable on television. Al’s unfiltered, comedic persona has earned him a special place in the hearts of viewers, and it’s clear that his candidness will continue to be a hallmark of his time on *The Today Show*.

So, whether it’s an impromptu duet, a snow day plea, or a strong opinion on showering, Al Roker proves time and time again that he’s not afraid to speak his mind—especially if it results in a good laugh for his fans.
