Beloved Today show weatherman Al Roker is taking his passion for meteorology to a whole new audience—children! 

The longtime television personality is set to introduce young viewers to the wonders of weather with his upcoming animated series, 

Weather Hunters, premiering on PBS Kids in July 2025.

Announced via Instagram on January 22, Roker revealed that his production company, 

Al Roker Entertainment, is behind the new show, which aims to teach kids about Earth science and meteorology through fun and engaging storytelling. 

The series will feature an impressive voice cast, including Abbott Elementary star Sheryl Lee Ralph, actress Holly Robinson Peete, and legendary actor LeVar Burton.

Sharing the news with his followers, Roker expressed his enthusiasm for the project, writing, “Big news! 🎉 Check out the new @alrokerent animated series, #WeatherHunters, coming this summer to @pbskids. What Is Weather Hunters About?
