Jenna Bush Hager has openly considered the idea of expanding her family,

but the Today show host seems to have decided that three children are the perfect number for her household.
During the March 3 episode of Today With Jenna & Friends,
co-host Savannah Guthrie playfully questioned Jenna about a possible pregnancy after sharing that she had dreamed Jenna was expecting her fourth child.

With a smile, Savannah jokingly pressed her co-star, asking if she had any news to share.

Jenna, 43, was quick to respond, stating, “I have nothing to announce.”

She further elaborated on her stance, saying, “I’m pretty sure I’ve come to terms that three, even though it’s an imperfect number, is the perfect number for our house.”
Jenna and her husband, Henry Chase Hager, share three children—daughters Mila, 11, and Poppy, 9, and their youngest, son Hal, 5. While Jenna admitted she had contemplated the possibility of another child, she ultimately feels content with the beautiful family she and Henry have built.
Savannah, who is a mother to two children—Vale, 10, and Charley, 8—empathized with Jenna’s feelings, explaining that it is normal to feel conflicted about whether to expand a family. “You’re kind of broody for a third or a fourth,” she said, sharing that she personally would have loved to have had a third child, but time was not on her side.
Jenna and Savannah share a close friendship, extending beyond the television screen. In fact, the two are godmothers to each other’s children, making their bond even more special. The duo recently had an emotional moment on air when Jenna praised Savannah’s parenting style while reflecting on a touching interview Vale conducted with her mother.

“I’m so lucky to be her godmother,” Jenna said of Savannah’s daughter. “But I’m so proud of her because you know everything you’ve given to them, all of your faith that you’ve passed on so gently without preaching, without demanding, are in those little kids. And when the world feels dark, that is hope. Anyway, you can see it.”
While Jenna is happy with her family size, she has been open about the ups and downs of parenting and marriage. Recently, viewers speculated about her relationship after she was spotted on-air without her wedding ring. Addressing the comments on Today With Jenna & Friends, she reassured fans that there was no cause for concern.
“I’m not wearing one now because I broke my finger, but don’t worry, I’ve seen some of the comments—Henry and I are still very happily married,” Jenna clarified, dismissing any rumors about marital trouble.
This isn’t the first time Jenna has had an issue with a sentimental item. Back in August 2024, she shared that she had lost a lucky necklace, which she jokingly claimed led to a string of bad luck—including a black eye and breaking her ring finger. Her eldest daughter, Mila, believed the necklace carried some sort of magic and was concerned about its absence.

Jenna recounted, “And I said that to Mila, I said, ‘I’ve had some misfortunes and maybe it’s because I’ve lost my lucky necklace,’ and she said, ‘Well, were you so stressed after you lost the necklace?’ and I said, ‘No!’ Well, not until all the bad things started happening!”
Despite these minor mishaps, Jenna remains focused on the joys of parenting. In a recent interview, she shared an update on her children’s personalities, revealing that Mila, her eldest, is a “sweet” and “empathetic” tween. She also admitted that, like any parent, she and Henry face challenges while raising their kids.
“Parenting was hard last night. Henry’s like, ‘Wow, parenting is really hard,’” Jenna shared. “And it is. But yeah, of course. I hope that the way Henry and I treat people is rubbed off, you know? And she witnesses that, but she’s a good kid. All of them are. They’re all wild, too, but they’re good.”
While Jenna may not be planning for baby number four, it’s clear that she is embracing every moment with her three children. For now, her hands—and her heart—are full.
