Chloe Fineman may be known for her spot-on celebrity impressions, but even she admits that not all of them hit the mark.

While attending the Saturday Night Live 50th Anniversary special on February 16, the SNL star revealed that her Harry Styles impression still needs some work.
Fineman Struggles with Harry Styles Impersonation
During a red carpet interview with Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, Fineman playfully tested out her impersonation skills on the British interviewer.

“It’s like I’m looking in the mirror right now,” Dimoldenberg joked in response to Fineman mimicking her signature deadpan delivery.

She then asked Fineman if there was an impression she couldn’t quite master.

Without hesitation, Fineman admitted, “Harry Styles is really bad.” She explained that she once attempted the impression in front of Styles himself when he was at SNL, and his reaction wasn’t exactly encouraging.
“I did it, and he was sitting at the table, and he looked so devastated by how bad it was,” Fineman recalled. She then attempted to replicate the British singer’s accent with a quick, “Anyway, I’m Harry Styles, anyway.”
Her exaggerated take on Styles’ voice prompted Dimoldenberg to joke, “Sorry, is Harry in the room right now?”
While Fineman didn’t specify which SNL moment she was referencing, it’s worth noting that Styles hosted the show in 2019 and has appeared as a musical guest multiple times. However, he and Fineman have never shared a live sketch together, leaving fans to wonder where and when the impression was attempted.

A Star-Studded SNL 50 Celebration
The SNL 50 special brought together numerous current and former cast members, along with a long list of Hollywood A-listers. Fineman was one of many SNL stars who walked the red carpet, joining icons like Kristen Wiig, Will Ferrell, Eddie Murphy, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler.
Although Styles wasn’t in attendance, several other high-profile musicians were part of the festivities. Paul Simon, Miley Cyrus, Lil Wayne, Brittany Howard, and The Roots were among the artists who made appearances during the show.
The weekend-long event also included SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall, where music legends like Lady Gaga, Post Malone, Bad Bunny, Jelly Roll, Brandi Carlile, Bonnie Raitt, and the Backstreet Boys performed.

Fineman’s Impressions: Hit or Miss?
Chloe Fineman has built a reputation for her uncanny ability to transform into celebrities, earning praise for her portrayals of stars like Drew Barrymore, Nicole Kidman, and Jennifer Coolidge. However, even the most talented impressionists have their weak spots, and for Fineman, Styles remains one of them.
Despite admitting her struggles with the As It Was singer’s voice and mannerisms, her self-deprecating humor about the failed impression only endeared her more to fans. And judging by her track record, it wouldn’t be surprising if she eventually perfected her Styles impersonation—perhaps even with his blessing.
For now, though, Fineman is content to laugh off the attempt, proving that even SNL’s best impressionists have their off days.
