The b@ttle between Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively seems to be coming to an end as he revealed he holds a “trump card” that sent fear into the actress.

Justin Baldoni, the actor and director best known for his role in *Jane the Virgin*,

is currently navigating a highly public legal battle following his recent $400 million lawsuit against Blake Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds,

their publicist Leslie Sloane, and Sloane’s PR firm, Vision PR Inc.

The lawsuit was filed on Thursday in the Southern District of New York and includes serious allegations of civil extortion, defamation,

and other claims that have sparked significant media attention.

As he deals with the legal complexities, Baldoni has shared how he’s coping with the ongoing drama.

In an interview at Los Angeles International Airport on Friday, Baldoni told *TMZ* that he was finding solace in spending time with his family. “We’re grateful to be with the family,” he said, highlighting the importance of support from his loved ones during this challenging time. The actor also expressed his appreciation for the strong network of friends and family around him, adding, “Oh man, we have amazing friends and family and faith.” The same day, a source revealed to *E! News* that Baldoni, his wife Emily, and their two children, Maiya and Maxwell, had taken a family getaway to escape the tension and focus on their well-being.

The legal drama has its roots in Baldoni’s involvement with *It Ends With Us*, the upcoming film based on the popular novel by Colleen Hoover. Baldoni, who directed and produced the movie, is suing several parties, including Lively, for allegedly overstepping her boundaries during the production process. According to the 179-page complaint, Lively sought to take control over aspects of the film, such as her character’s wardrobe, which was beyond the usual level of input given to actors. The lawsuit alleges that Lively’s interference was intrusive and went far beyond what was outlined in her contract, claiming it disrupted the production and management of the film.

In addition to the creative control claims, Baldoni and his legal team have filed for several charges, including breach of implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, intentional interference with contractual relations, and negligent interference with prospective economic advantage. The lawsuit portrays Lively’s actions as damaging to the production process, with Baldoni’s team asserting that her interference ultimately hurt the movie’s progress and financial success.

In response to the lawsuit, Lively’s attorney issued a statement defending the actress and accusing Baldoni and his associates of retaliating against her after she came forward with allegations of sexual harassment. The legal team for Lively, 37, described the lawsuit as an attempt to discredit the actress, suggesting that it was part of a larger pattern of retaliation in the face of harassment claims. “This latest lawsuit from Justin Baldoni, Wayfarer Studios, and its associates is another chapter in the abuser playbook,” the statement said. “This is what experts call DARVO. Deny. Attack. Reverse Victim Offender.” This response highlights the deepening rift between the two parties, with each side making serious accusations.

Lively’s legal issues have compounded the tension, as she previously filed a lawsuit against Baldoni in December. In her filing, she alleged that Baldoni’s actions had caused her significant emotional distress, claiming it resulted in pain, humiliation, embarrassment, and mental anguish. Lively also sought damages, including punitive compensation, for the alleged harm caused by Baldoni’s conduct.

As the legal battle intensifies, it is clear that both Baldoni and Lively are facing challenges in their professional and personal lives. While Baldoni is leaning on the support of his family during this turbulent time, Lively’s legal response shows the contentious nature of their relationship. The ongoing lawsuits are set to play out in court, with both sides asserting their positions, and the outcome will likely have far-reaching consequences for all involved.

For now, Baldoni appears to be prioritizing his family and personal well-being above all else, focusing on maintaining a sense of normalcy amid the storm of litigation. With the support of his loved ones, he is navigating these troubled waters, hoping to emerge stronger on the other side of the legal conflict.
